Our association

Who we are

The Consiglio per la Difesa del Diritto di Cittadinanza Italiana or CDDCI is a nonprofit legal advocacy group dedicated to defending the right to Italian citizenship by descent. In the face of restrictive reforms, we unite a network of committed lawyers—experts in civil, immigration, international, and constitutional law—to take coordinated legal action and promote systemic change. Our team includes voices like Gianni Dell’Aiuto, Marco Bartoli, Raffaella Negrini, and others who bring decades of experience and a shared mission: to uphold the principle that heritage is a right, not a privilege. Through legal challenges, institutional engagement, and public awareness, we stand for justice, inclusion, and the continuity of Italy’s global legacy.

“Ancestry without citizenship is identity denied.
Citizenship without advocacy is a right at risk”
